A joined-up system of support for children with serious illnesses and their families.

Kentown Support is delighted to have won the Outstanding Health Care Innovation Award at the 2026 Business Awards UK for the Greater Manchester region.

This award highlights the strength of its Children's Community Palliative Care Programme in Greater Manchester and the collaborative approach at its heart. By bringing together health and social care partners, NHS community nursing teams, paediatric consultants, hospices, and voluntary and charitable organisations, Kentown Support is creating a more joined-up system of support for children with serious illnesses and their families.

Commenting on the award, Dr Helena Dunbar, CEO of Kentown Support, said:

'We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition so soon after launching our Greater Manchester programme. This award reflects the dedication of our partners and teams, who are working together to ensure families caring for a seriously ill child receive the joined-up, compassionate support they need. We look forward to reaching and supporting many more families across the region.'

Professionals can refer families to our Children's Community Palliative Care Programme through our single point of access via the Kentown Support website.
